Copperhead Manufacturing is owned and operated by Gil and Betsy Glidden. Gil is an insightful and distinguished 27 year veteran to the construction community, and has fabricated items out of wood, metal and plastic and is now bringing his talents to the mud motor industry. Gil’s hobbies include racing, boating, fishing, welding, fabrication and restoration.
At the age of 8, Gil started racing go-karts, at age 19 his attention turned to 3 and 4 wheeler racing where Gil was sponsored by Yamaha racing. After many championships and 3 children, Gil took some time off to raise his kids. He returned to karting at age 24 winning on state and national levels. Then went on to race open wheel Nascar modifieds and late model stock cars, during this time Gil had to design and fabricate his own parts and many tools. As Gil’s son’s grew he stepped back from his own racing to teach his son’s the art of racing, which led both boy’s to be local, state and national championship go-kart and 4 wheeler racers just like their Dad. Many years later Gil’s daughter who always asked for a pink go-kart stepped up to the winning status in karting just like her Dad and brothers. Gil’s racing talents are incorporated into every aspect of Copperhead Manufacturing. It’s the attention to detail that makes a racer a winner.
Together, as a team of almost 30 years, Gil and Betsy commit to delivering durable high quality mud motors with excellent customer service.
